De rol

As a Yard Planner, you are responsible for the tactical preparation of our yard within the planning horizon. You ensure that the yard is ready for expected volumes, maintenance activities, weather influences, and disruptions, allowing for safe, efficient, and predictable operations.

You connect the long-term vision of the Yard Strategist with real-time execution in the Control Room. You look ahead, analyze developments, and identify risks before they impact operations. Based on your analyses, you advise on measures, priorities, and preparatory actions. You will work during office hours at our terminal on the Tweede Maasvlakte and closely coordinate with Operations and Asset Management.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden

Analyze yard density, stack occupancy, and available yard capacity.
Identify capacity risks and operational bottlenecks, translating them into concrete advice.
Prepare scenarios around expected volumes, maintenance, weather conditions, and disruptions.
Assess the impact of maintenance windows on capacity, allocations, and operational flexibility.
Coordinate maintenance schedules with Asset Management and advise on necessary preparatory work.
Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to automation, tooling, and optimization of yard processes.
Collaborate closely with Operations and Asset Management to support a stable and efficient operation.

You have an affinity for process improvement, Lean, automation, and a high-tech environment. Experience with operational planning, logistics, or terminal processes is a plus. Knowledge of Power BI and SQL is relevant.
You have excellent command of Dutch and good command of English.
