We seek an experienced Workplace Support Engineer to assist developers with WSL2 and Ubuntu setups. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux troubleshooting skills and collaborate with L3 engineers to resolve complex issues.

We are looking for an experienced Developer Workplace Support Engineer (L2/L3) to provide support for developers during WSL2 and Ubuntu setup and migration activities. The role involves assisting users with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux environments, while also collaborating with L3 engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

Support users with WSL2 and Ubuntu installation, configuration, and migration.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Linux environment.
Collaborate with L3 engineers to diagnose and fix complex technical problems.
Enhance system performance, reliability, and security.
Create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Linux (preferably Ubuntu).
Strong Bash scripting skills.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues.

Nice to Have

Experience supporting developer tools and engineering teams.
Hands-on experience with at least one IDE (e.g., VS Code, IntelliJ, Eclipse).
Knowledge of Docker and containerized applications.
Exposure to DevSecOps practices and tools.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
Ability to create technical documentation.
