As a Welder specializing in Repair & Maintenance, you will focus on repairing and maintaining equipment, structures, and fixtures by applying heat to bond or fuse metal surfaces and parts together. This includes using hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to assemble metal components for equipment. You will also maintain and repair manufacturing production equipment, structures, pipe systems, and ductwork, while inspecting existing weldments to identify areas of weakness. Additionally, you may perform metal cutting or trimming work and fabricate simple fixtures.
