The Role

At W Hotels, we don’t recruit; we cast Talent. W Amsterdam is casting a Welcome Ambassador (Bellman/Doorman) to join our Welcome Team, responsible for both the Exchange and Bank buildings, as well as the Whatever/Whenever® Department (our call center). You are the face of the W experience and play a key role in creating unforgettable moments for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests throughout their stay, ensuring adherence to service standards and operating procedures.
• Showcase our Whatever/Whenever service, personalizing it to create memorable experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure everything sparkles in the environment.
• Work rotating shifts, with weekends being the busiest.
• Prepare for shifts and assist colleagues as needed, using mise en place.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with loud music.
• Collaborate with various teams and departments.
• Prioritize guest satisfaction in every task, including those not explicitly listed.
• Transport luggage to rooms and manage the luggage area.
• Guide guests to their rooms and provide an unforgettable rooming experience.
• Be knowledgeable about hotel facilities and local attractions.
• Handle valet parking and deliver guest mail to rooms.
• Make reservations for guests in restaurants, flights, and other activities.
• Organize transportation for guests, such as trains, taxis, or buses.
• Communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
• Adhere to all safety and security policies and report any issues to management.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English; Dutch and any other language is appreciated.
• Experience in the luxury segment is an advantage.
• Work permit for The Netherlands is required.
• Driving License B is a must.
