The Role

As a UX Research Intern in Demand, you will help us better understand how buyers experience Catawiki across their journey, from discovering interesting objects to engaging with new experiences over time. You will support research across various buyer topics and product areas, including new experiences like Catawiki Live. Your work will involve closely collaborating with UX Research, Product, Design, Engineering, and Data teams to turn customer behavior, motivations, and pain points into actionable insights.

This hands-on internship will allow you to learn by doing, contributing to the research process from defining questions and choosing methods to recruitment, facilitation, analysis, and communication of findings.

Responsibilities

• Support qualitative and quantitative research across the buyer journey.
• Plan and conduct interviews, usability tests, surveys, and other research studies.
• Help define research questions and select appropriate methods.
• Assist with participant recruitment, research materials, and session facilitation.
• Analyze findings and translate them into clear insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to ensure research informs product decisions.
• Partner with external research providers when necessary.
• Organize and synthesize existing research for easier reuse of insights.
• Make customer insights visible and accessible across the organization.
• Develop practical experience combining qualitative research with behavioral and quantitative data.

Requirements

• Enrollment at a Dutch university throughout the internship period.
• Availability for a full-time six-month internship starting in September or October 2026.
• Strong interest in user experience and customer research.
• Some experience with qualitative or quantitative research through university, thesis, previous work, or relevant projects.
• Interest in methods such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, diary studies, and desk research.
• Currently studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, behavioral science, human-computer interaction, industrial design, or a related field.
