We are looking for a US GAAP Accountant to take charge of technical accounting and reporting under US GAAP. This position blends extensive technical knowledge with operational closing discipline, ensuring that financial records are accurate, timely, and ready for audits.

The Role

You will be responsible for the interpretation and application of technical accounting under US GAAP, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. You will lead month-end and quarter-end closing activities for your assigned areas, document accounting policies and memos for complex transactions, and support external audits, including preparing PBC schedules and addressing auditor inquiries. Additionally, you will collaborate with FP&A and operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical accounting interpretation and application under US GAAP
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities for designated areas
• Document accounting policies and memos for complex transactions
• Assist with external audits, including PBC schedules and auditor inquiries
• Collaborate with FP&A and operations for precise financial reporting

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience under US GAAP
• CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA preferred
• Strong technical knowledge in revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), and equity
• Proficient in NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills and meticulous documentation practices
• Experience with Big 4 audit firms is a plus
