• Enhance algorithms for underwater acoustic and optical communication across the OSI model layers.
• Research optimization of communication within networks of autonomous underwater nodes and drones.
• Design, prepare, and conduct experiments, utilizing realistic simulations and measurements in the lab or at sea.
• Report and present findings to clients and colleagues.

• A Master's degree in electrical engineering and/or computer science.
• Experience or specialization in telecommunications and signal processing, including algorithm development.
• Knowledge of modulations, network protocols, and architectures.
• Preferably several years of experience in applied research.
• Proactive and assertive, taking responsibility for results and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Clear and convincing communication skills in English, both oral and written; Dutch is a plus.
• Ability to work in an international and military context, including European or NATO projects.
• Openness to new ideas, eagerness to learn, and willingness to help others learn.
