About the role: As a Jewellery & Precious Metals Assessor, you will be instrumental in evaluating, sorting, and preparing fine jewellery and precious metals for auction and sale. This position is well-suited for individuals with retail jewellery experience, bench jewellers, or those knowledgeable in fine jewellery and auction processes, who are eager to enhance their skills in the luxury and vintage sector. You will be responsible for tasks such as disassembling jewellery, identifying and cataloguing valuable pieces, and ensuring secure preparation and documentation of stock for auction.

Getting Started…

• Develop proficiency in XRF testing and identifying metal purity.
• Learn jewellery breakdown techniques by understanding processes for disassembling jewellery and carefully removing gemstones.
• Confidently identify and test the purity of gold, fine jewellery, and other metals.
• Assist in quality-checking solid gold for secure bagging.

• Prepare and weigh solid gold for secure storage, strictly adhering to security protocols.
• Quality-check items for accuracy and compliance with all security standards.
