In this role, you will assist in the upkeep of county parks and facilities, performing a variety of tasks to maintain athletic fields and related areas. Your daily responsibilities will include turf management, preparing athletic fields for play, and participating in landscape maintenance such as mowing, trimming weeds, and installing mulch or rock in flower beds. You will also be responsible for removing litter and debris from playgrounds, parking lots, pavilions, and other park facilities, as well as emptying trash receptacles. Janitorial duties will include cleaning and restocking restrooms and operating floor machines. Additionally, you will assist in preparing for tournaments, special events, and programs, as well as trimming and caring for trees, bushes, and ornamental plants. Inspecting playgrounds and reporting maintenance needs to your supervisor will also be part of your duties. You may assist in the repair and maintenance of tools and equipment, perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs, and help with irrigation system repairs.
