• Inspect, repair, assemble, and test rescue and survival equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Inspect and modify life jackets, lifeboats, inflatable boats, diving suits, and escape equipment according to technical specifications.
• Record assemblies, test data, expiration dates, and maintenance information to keep equipment data complete and up-to-date.
• Instruct and assist colleagues during maintenance and modifications, and help resolve technical issues during execution.
• Review completed work by colleagues to ensure technical quality and safety of the final result.
• Conduct periodic inspections with technical specialists on ships and shore facilities and document findings for reporting.

We are looking for someone who works with technical precision and understands that the reliability of rescue and survival equipment is essential.

Must-haves:

• MBO-3 work and thinking level in mechanical engineering, mechanical technology, or a comparable technical field.
• Completed vocational training as a First Technician in Industrial Maintenance, or demonstrable equivalent technical knowledge and experience.
• Ability to carefully apply technical specifications, manuals, and work instructions.
• Attention to quality, occupational safety, and environmental considerations during technical tasks.
• Ability to work independently and clearly instruct and guide colleagues.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with maintenance of rescue and survival equipment.
• Relevant certifications for rescue and survival equipment.
• A valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
