As a Technical Training Coordinator, you will drive the development of maintenance employees by implementing competency-based education. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the maintenance team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge for their tasks.
In this role, you will leverage your passion for employee development to shape the future of competency-based education within the maintenance organization. Your primary goal is to ensure that all maintenance personnel are adequately trained for their specific roles and responsibilities. You will assess the competencies required for each position and coordinate the necessary training programs with both internal and external trainers.
The Role
You will facilitate the translation of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) requirements, along with Technical, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation needs, into essential knowledge and skills for the Maintenance department. Collaborating with technicians, planners, and supervisors, you will ensure that training materials are relevant and effective, drawing on insights from Subject Matter Experts and suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement competency-based maintenance training courses and learning pathways.
- Design and maintain practical training setups and effective learning environments.
- Collaborate with the Workforce Development (WFD) team to oversee site-level training processes.
- Support managers in creating competency overviews and learning plans for their teams.
- Guide and motivate employees in their learning journeys.
Requirements
- Relevant educational background to understand technical aspects of maintenance activities.
- Strong didactic skills with a minimum MBO 4 level, preferably HBO level.
- Proven experience in a similar role and field.
- Track record in managing change processes.
- Proactive, independent, and results-driven mindset.
- Proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
