We are looking for an enthusiastic technician with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering. After a thorough induction, you will work on various installations, equipment, and systems, often involving complex tasks that require a multidisciplinary approach due to biosafety requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

• Identify, isolate, and resolve faults.
• Inspect installations, develop maintenance plans, and execute them independently following applicable standards and safety requirements.
• Propose improvements to optimize buildings, systems, and processes, and be involved in executing work and supervising external contractors.
• Handle technical administration, manage necessary materials and tools, and arrange repairs or replacements as needed.
• Perform activities in accordance with quality and safety procedures and suggest improvements in these areas.
• Stay updated on developments related to HCU equipment, installations, and systems, and contribute to working and project groups for innovation, expansion, or modification projects.

Your Team:

The Technical Services team consists of eleven versatile staff members, each with specific responsibilities but collectively ensuring effective fault response during and outside normal working hours. The team is managed by the Technical Services Team Leader and is responsible for all maintenance tasks related to the facilities.

Your Qualities:

You work with precision and focus on quality, maintaining a positive attitude and sense of humor. You should have completed a technical qualification at MBO level 4 (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and ideally have experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or hospital environment. You must be available for on-call duty and can reach the site within 30 minutes. A Category B driving license is required, along with problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team. Proficiency in Dutch (spoken and written) is necessary due to procedures and communication.

Important Information:

The work will take place in buildings with additional quarantine restrictions, meaning you cannot keep or have contact with certain animals for a specified period after your work. You must be willing to adhere to these regulations.
