In your role as Team Leader Wastewater Management, you will support the effect owner of treated wastewater and play a vital role in managing its impact. Acting as a central figure between strategy, tactics, and execution, you will ensure a professional, engaged, and future-proof team.

The Role

You will lead a multidisciplinary team of specialists, analysts, users, and support staff. The team is in development, and you will significantly enhance collaboration, ownership, and results-oriented work. You will coach team members in their professional growth, helping them maximize their talents and create the conditions for them to take responsibility independently.

You will focus on setting priorities and translating strategic goals into concrete team objectives and outcomes. You will maintain coherence between the strategic objectives of the water authority, the asset management system, and the daily operations of the treatment facilities. At the same time, you will ensure a solid planning and control cycle, management information, and decision-making, enabling the department to manage performance, costs, and risks predictably and effectively.

About the Company

The Ketenregie team supports the effect owner in managing the entire chain: Finance & Control, Asset Management, KAM (Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environment), process-oriented work, and further optimizing the department. The team provides balanced advice from asset users (usage) and asset management (maintenance) and the environment (development/policy). They support integrated management of performance, costs, and risks, connecting policy, planning, execution, and management by organizing coherence, gathering information, and ensuring that the right considerations are made at the right time. Ketenregie does not take over responsibilities from the line but supports effect owners and departments with annual assignments, consultation structures, chain reports, and management information. Additionally, the team encourages collaboration between departments and effect chains, identifies bottlenecks in a timely manner, and contributes to greater predictability, better decision-making, and a more effectively functioning wastewater chain as a cohesive system.

What We Offer

Maximum salary of €7,417 (scale 12) gross per month for 36 hours per week (including 21% IKB, max €8,974).
An Individual Choice Budget of 21% on top of your salary, which can be converted into extra days off, training, or salary.
A one-year employment contract with the possibility of a permanent contract.
The opportunity for hybrid work (50/50), depending on your tasks.
Flexible working hours, depending on your tasks.
A generous training budget of €6,000 for your personal development.
Travel reimbursement or a home office allowance of €3.50 net per home working day.
A reimbursement to set up your home office.
A pension plan through the ABP Pension Fund.

Het Waterschap Amstel, Gooi en Vecht strekt zich uit van Amsterdam tot Utrecht en van west naar oost van Uithoorn tot Hilversum. Het gebied van Waterschap Amstel, Gooi en Vecht bestrijkt een oppervlakte van 700 km², verspreid over drie provincies.
