Vacancy Summary
As the team leader of the neurology and clinical neurophysiology outpatient clinic, you will lead a diverse team while fostering a collaborative environment. You will drive improvements that directly benefit both staff and patients, supported by an engaged management team.
In this role, you will build upon a well-functioning department with a versatile team and colleagues who easily connect. You will lead various teams, including outpatient assistants, clinical neurophysiology technicians, and nurses. Your responsibilities will include operational management and further development of the department, implementing improvements that staff and patients can directly experience. You will be part of a committed management team where colleagues share experiences and learn from each other, enhancing the quality of care.
As team leader, you will oversee the operational management of the neurology and clinical neurophysiology outpatient clinic. Your key tasks will include:
You will manage a diverse team, including outpatient assistants, clinical neurophysiology technicians, planners, research nurses, nursing consultants, and nursing specialists in training. This diversity in expertise and background ensures that no two days are the same. You will collaborate closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation physicians, creating a dynamic leadership role where you continually adapt and maximize collaboration.
In our top clinical training hospital, we focus on providing the best care for our patients, which requires a commitment to innovation and dedication to your profession. We support each other, understanding our roles and learning from one another. If challenges arise, we lend a helping hand, making a difference together every day.
“What's special about this role for me is the immense variety: one moment you're coordinating with outpatient assistants and clinical neurophysiology technicians, the next with neurologists and neurosurgeons. Despite managing different teams, we truly form one department, with open communication and genuine attention for each other. You also have ample opportunity to work collaboratively on smart solutions for capacity issues and projects like digitalization, always with the same goal in mind: maintaining and continuously improving the high quality of our care.” - Merel, team leader of the neurology and clinical neurophysiology outpatient clinic.
In the neurology outpatient clinic, we see patients with a wide range of conditions, from strokes, Parkinson's, and multiple sclerosis to dementia, dizziness, and headaches. Many patients have chronic conditions and return regularly, making continuity and personal attention vital in our care. In clinical neurophysiology, we conduct nearly all clinical neurophysiological examinations, including EEG, EMG, neuro duplex, nerve ultrasound, and tilt table tests, as well as botulinum treatments. The combination of diverse disease profiles, examinations, and treatments creates a dynamic work environment that is constantly evolving. The atmosphere within the teams is open, personal, and collegial, with short lines of communication. Hard work is balanced with humor, camaraderie, and joint activities, ensuring that new colleagues receive a warm welcome.
