We are looking for a Tax Representative to join our team, focusing on the preparation and review of US personal tax returns. This role requires a blend of extensive US tax knowledge and excellent client communication skills to assist individuals in filing their taxes accurately and on time.

The Role

As a Tax Representative, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Preparing federal and state individual income tax returns (1040 and related forms).
• Reviewing prior-year returns to identify opportunities for amendments or tax planning.
• Communicating with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain tax returns.
• Ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and state tax requirements.
• Researching tax positions and documenting conclusions.
• Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax laws and IRS guidance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in preparing US personal tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, federal forms, and major state returns.
• Familiarity with tax preparation software such as Drake, Lacerte, ProSeries, or UltraTax.
• An active PTIN; CPA or EA designation is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written communication skills and a commitment to client service.
