Systems Engineer - Pathology Scanners

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain pathology scanner solutions as part of Philips Digital & Computational Pathology (DCP) product portfolio. Philips DCP strives to be a leader in empowering pathologists with digital pathology solutions through the best pathology scanners, image management systems, workflows, and image analytics. This commitment aids pathology laboratories and pathologists in working more effectively, leading to higher quality diagnoses and better patient care.

You will explore design aspects, including realization, integration, testing, and debugging of specific components while understanding and communicating the consequences of design and architecture. Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to scale up production of our pathology scanners. In the event of technical challenges, you will perform hands-on systematic debugging and analysis, define next steps, draw conclusions, and present findings to senior system engineers and developers. You will also set up, script, and conduct product experiments, driving data collection, analysis, and interpretation of results, employing appropriate statistical techniques. Additionally, you will develop and maintain software tools used for development, testing, or manufacturing purposes and provide input in the planning process to the project leader. Keeping abreast of new technology developments and driving activities for continuous improvement will also be part of your responsibilities.
