The Building Company is seeking a Stock Controller for our BUCO department in Middelburg. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the receiving, GRNing, and merchandising of all stock, ensuring that optimal stock levels and ranges are maintained for the business.

The Role
As a Stock Controller, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Checking reports and monitoring stock performance
- Managing supplier returns and validating stock variances
- Keeping the cycle counter updated and maintaining bin locations
- Investigating bad risk stock and clearing negative stock
- Conducting stock takes and running no stock, no demand reports
- Providing variance data to the operator on a monthly basis for the 8-week cycle
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Grade 12 qualification
- 3 years of stock control experience, or
- A Certificate in Retailing (NQF 5) or a Certificate in Retail Operations Management (NQF 5)
- If you do not have a certificate, at least 3 of the following skills programs:
- Understanding factors impacting the bottom line of a wholesale and retail unit
- Supervising loss control measures implementation
- Supervising stock counts
- Replenishing stock in a retail business
- Managing stock holding procedures in a wholesale and retail outlet
- Picking stock in a distribution center
- Moving, packing, and maintaining stock
- Receiving stock into a distribution center
- Counting stock for stock-takes
- Dispatching stock from a distribution center
