Statistical Analyst – Modeling and Meta-Analysis

Reports to Senior Statistical Consultant Modeling and Meta-Analysis

As a Statistical Analyst at OPEN Health, you will play a crucial role in our team, managing specific deliverables and timelines across various projects. We seek candidates who are enthusiastic about a career in statistics within a healthcare context and are eager to engage in practical work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, international organization. A strong background in statistical or health economic modeling, along with proficiency in R, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct statistical and health economic research tasks with guidance from senior consultants, performing analyses such as:
  • Survival analysis, employing flexible and innovative methods.
  • Analysis of patient-reported outcome measures from clinical trials (utility analysis).
  • Fitting tailored statistical models to clinical trial data to facilitate future extrapolation and provide parameter estimates for economic models.
• Participate in evidence synthesis projects, including:
  • Pairwise meta-analysis and Bucher indirect treatment comparisons.
  • Bayesian network meta-analysis, utilizing non-proportional hazard methods and meta-regression.
  • Population-adjusted indirect treatment comparisons, including matching-adjusted indirect comparisons, simulated treatment comparisons, and multi-level network meta-regression.
  • Analysis of surrogate endpoints.
• Identify and develop statistical methodologies and strategies in collaboration with project teams and independently.
• Assist in producing and disseminating statistical code for standard analysis internally.
• Draft project reports and other deliverables while adhering to project budgets and timelines.
• Support client interactions to ensure exceptional satisfaction and respond to requests for proposals as directed.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or PhD in a statistical or mathematical subject (MSc, MMATH, or equivalent).
• Proven programming skills in R; experience with building packages, version control, RMarkdown, Shiny, and STAN is advantageous.
• Knowledge of health economic modeling is a plus.
• Intellectual curiosity and independence, with the ability to self-start and self-teach.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to question the status quo.
• Capability to clearly convey complex statistical methods to team members and external stakeholders.
• Proactive, responsive, and adept at balancing shifting priorities.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
