The UFS R&D team in Hive is focused on delivering innovative food technologies for various applications, including soups, sauces, and dressings. As a Specification and Labelling Technologist, you will play a crucial role in managing product and labelling specifications, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining product specifications and labelling for a diverse range of UFS products, including mayonnaise, dressings, savoury products, and desserts. Your role will involve:

• Developing and maintaining high-quality product specifications and labelling across the UFS portfolio.
• Supporting the continuous improvement of copack frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Addressing backlog issues and discrepancies in the system related to product specifications.
• Ensuring compliance with European Food Law and verifying specifications against regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with food technologists and project teams to resolve discrepancies in specifications.
• Managing product and labelling data consistency in Unilever IT systems and ensuring timely delivery of tasks.
• Assisting colleagues with interface requests from factories regarding recipe adaptations.
• Engaging in formulation development, sample preparation, and testing with chefs.
• Promoting a digital and data culture within UFS by advocating for IT tools and processes.
• Participating in UAT testing and training colleagues on digital tools.

Vereisten

• BSc degree in Food Technology, Food Law, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Experience in labelling a wide range of food products, particularly for the European market.
• Knowledge of European Food Law and labelling regulations.
• Familiarity with IT systems, especially SAP-PLM.
• Experience in creating specifications for various food product designs is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Detail-oriented with a structured approach and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently in an R&D-focused environment while valuing teamwork.
• Proactive attitude with a drive for improvement and innovation.
• Resilient and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
