In this remote contractor role, you will serve as the Sociology Quality Assurance Lead, responsible for overseeing quality, consistency, and trainer performance across sociology-focused AI training projects. Your expertise will ensure that AI-generated sociology content meets high standards of accuracy and ethical awareness.

The Role

You will review AI-generated sociology content, evaluate the quality of trainer and QA work, and provide detailed feedback to ensure adherence to project guidelines. Your role will involve assessing sociological accuracy, theory application, methodological rigor, and clarity. You will also communicate updates to trainers and QAs, support onboarding, and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality by spot-checking sociology items, identifying issues, and providing ongoing feedback.
• Evaluate AI-generated sociology explanations, theory applications, and demographic interpretations for accuracy and nuance.
• Communicate updates to trainers and QAs regarding guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations.
• Respond promptly to questions from trainers and QAs about sociological concepts and research methods.
• Activate inactive contributors, encourage their participation, and track follow-ups.
• Maintain project documentation, including style guides, trackers, and onboarding materials.
• Schedule and conduct onboarding/training sessions to explain project expectations and quality standards.
• Ensure consistent application of sociology review guidelines among trainers and QAs.
• Identify and flag any biases or ethically problematic analyses in sociology content.
• Propose improvements to workflows and help build scalable QA processes for sociology AI training projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Sociology or a related field.
• Strong command of English for communication and feedback.
• 3+ years of experience in sociology research, teaching, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of sociological theory, social institutions, and research methods.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and identify methodological flaws.
• Familiarity with survey research, ethnography, or social policy is preferred.
• Experience leading remote teams is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in using tools like Discord, Google Sheets, and project management systems.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of maintaining documentation and style guides.
• Experience with AI training or social science QA is a plus.
