The Role

As a Senior Womenswear Designer, you will design commercially relevant products in collaboration with the design team and support the Head of Design in daily tasks. Your role will involve creating innovative knitwear and jersey collections that align with the design direction.

Responsibilities

• Design womenswear knitwear and jersey under the guidance of the Design Manager.
• Elevate product quality by creating design tech-packs and technical sketches for suppliers, including graphics and artwork.
• Attend meetings with design, merchandising, and retail teams to present ideas and develop ranges, fostering strong business relationships.
• Research materials, trends, and markets to inform design proposals.
• Create 3D perspective sketches and detailed technical packs.
• Travel to manufacturers and fairs as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master degree in Fashion Design.
• 5+ years of experience in designing commercial knitwear and jersey.
• Strong understanding of trends and ability to translate them into the KL women's perspective.
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLS (or similar design software).
• Ability to innovate while working with existing designs.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Distinctive taste level balancing superior design with commercial viability.
• Strong market research and fashion trend analysis skills.
• Customer-focused with a deep understanding of brand positioning.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Efficient, organized, and capable of managing ongoing processes.
• Proactive team player with strong communication skills.
• Results-driven, translating actions into brand-strengthening outcomes.
