Aptendo is seeking a Senior Wintel Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This remote role involves managing Windows Server infrastructure and leveraging Azure services for international clients.

Aptendo is expanding its engineering team for long-term projects with international clients. We're looking for Senior Wintel Engineers. If Windows Server, Azure, Entra ID, AD, and PowerShell are your daily tools — and you can prove it in code — read on.

The Role

Design, manage, and optimize Windows Server infrastructure across on-prem and Azure (IaaS) environments. Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policies, and authentication mechanisms. Build and maintain PowerShell automation for provisioning, configuration, and day-to-day operations (Python coding is nice to have but not mandatory). Troubleshoot complex Windows and cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability. Handle server hardening, patching, and security compliance.

Requirements

5+ years of relevant senior-level experience in Wintel/Windows infrastructure.
Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, and GPO management.
Solid Azure IaaS experience: VM provisioning, networking, backup, monitoring.
Deep knowledge of Entra ID and hybrid identity.
Very strong PowerShell scripting skills — this is a core requirement. A live coding interview is part of the selection process, so be ready to write real code, not just talk about it.

Nice to Have

VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), Ansible, IaC principles.
Azure Administrator/Architect certifications.
Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, load balancers).
