We are currently seeking a Senior Underwriter for Financial Lines to join our dynamic team in Rotterdam, where you will play a key role in handling new business and managing existing Professional Indemnity portfolios.

In this role, you will be responsible for both new and renewal underwriting of Professional Indemnity insurance, focusing on developing client relationships and securing retention through exceptional service. You will analyze risks, issue quotes, and contribute to product development, ensuring adherence to compliance and underwriting guidelines.

• Manage a Professional Indemnity portfolio.
• Underwrite industry-specific Professional Indemnity for renewals and new business.
• Develop accounts and maintain client retention through excellent service.
• Focus on business development with new clients and brokers.
• Analyze risks, issue quotes, and achieve a successful hit ratio.
• Contribute to new product development and policy drafting.
• Monitor product results and suggest improvements for productivity and profitability.
• Enhance department visibility through meetings, presentations, and training.
• Oversee policy issuance and account management, including drafting and follow-ups.
• Exemplify compliance with underwriting guidelines and mentor team members.

Vereisten

• Master’s degree in (Applied) Economics, Finance, Law, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in Professional Indemnity underwriting.
• Client-oriented with strong financial, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Commitment to high service quality and a ‘first time right’ approach.
• Empathetic and courteous in dealing with clients.
• Ability to foster a positive team environment.
• Stress-resistant and proficient in standard IT applications.
