We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to become part of our Data Centre team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of large-scale or complex construction projects, leading the on-site team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery while aligning with project programs, commercial objectives, and company standards.

The Role

You will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the site to ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to the program. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading Site Managers, Site Agents, General Site Supervisors, and other supervisory staff to achieve project objectives.
• Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures while promoting a zero-incident culture.
• Monitoring progress against the project program, ensuring weekly targets and milestones are achieved.
• Coordinating site setup and ensuring facilities are prepared prior to project launch.
• Managing sub-contractor relationships and collaborating to resolve issues impacting program, cost, safety, or quality.
• Maintaining and reviewing site records, including Temporary Works Registers, daily diaries, quality documentation, and HSEQS logs.
• Leading site meetings, briefings, and whiteboard sessions to communicate priorities, objectives, and safety expectations.
• Escalating risks or challenges to the Senior Site Agent or Senior Operations Manager for mitigation.
• Supporting the commercial and project management teams in understanding site requirements and achieving cost-effective delivery.
• Driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Mentoring and developing Site Managers and supervisory staff, supporting their professional development and succession planning.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing medium to large-scale Data Centre construction projects.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, capable of supervising multi-level site teams.
• Knowledge of industrial relations and subcontractor management.
• Ability to prioritize, make decisions under pressure, and resolve operational challenges on site.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, trade requirements, and codes of practice.
• Proven experience in program management and project delivery within budget and schedule.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing and building consensus among stakeholders.
• Strong awareness of health, safety, environmental, and quality management practices.

Nice to Have

• Trade or technical background with substantial site management experience.
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety management training.
• Temporary works and excavation safety training.
• Working at heights and scaffolding training.
• Lifting and cranage operations training.
• Additional HSEQS training as required by site HSE plan.
• Understanding of BIM strategy and new construction technology.
