We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to lead our Data Centre team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of complex construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery while aligning with project objectives and company standards.

The Role

As the Senior Site Manager, you will manage daily site operations to ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently. You will lead a team of Site Managers, Site Agents, and Supervisors to achieve project objectives while promoting a zero-incident culture. You will monitor project progress, coordinate site setup, manage subcontractor relationships, and maintain site records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor Site Managers and supervisory staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Monitor progress against the project programme, achieving weekly targets.
• Coordinate site setup and prepare facilities before project launch.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and resolve issues collaboratively.
• Maintain site records including Temporary Works Registers and quality documentation.
• Lead site meetings to communicate priorities and safety expectations.
• Escalate risks or challenges to Senior Site Agent or Senior Operations Manager.
• Support project management teams in understanding site requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and quality.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing medium to large-scale Data Centre construction projects.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of industrial relations and subcontractor management.
• Ability to prioritize and resolve operational challenges under pressure.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction methods and codes of practice.
• Proven experience in programme management and project delivery.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Strong awareness of health, safety, environmental, and quality management practices.

Nice to Have

• Trade or technical background with substantial site management experience.
• IOSH or equivalent health and safety management training.
• Temporary works and excavation safety training.
• Working at heights and scaffolding training.
• Lifting and cranage operations training.
• Understanding of BIM strategy and new construction technology.
