As the Senior RF Engineer, you will take complete ownership of the design, verification, and scaling of our critical flex cable interface, a fundamental hardware element of our VIO technology. In this essential role, you will combine advanced RF engineering with hands-on project management. Given the reliance on strategic vendor partnerships, you will act as the primary technical liaison, fostering co-innovation, establishing rigorous specifications, and overseeing deliverable timelines. You will lead cross-functional engineering initiatives to ensure high-frequency RF performance, mechanical reliability, and manufacturability align with our R&D roadmap. ## What You'll Be Doing - Drive Flex Architecture: Oversee the entire lifecycle of flex interconnect systems from conceptualization to verification and high-volume manufacturing. - RF & Mechanical Optimization: Ensure high signal integrity and RF performance while maintaining long-term mechanical reliability and thermal performance. - Vendor Management: Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to enhance flex design and manufacturing capabilities, translating complex specifications into clear technical requirements. - Timeline Execution: Manage supplier development schedules to ensure timely delivery of critical components without compromising quality. - Direct Line Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop an engineering team focused on flex interconnect development and RF integration. ## Your Profile - 4+ years of hands-on experience in RF engineering, signal integrity, or high-frequency interconnect design (e.g., flex circuits, rigid-flex, micro-coaxial interfaces). Proficient in RF simulation software (HFSS, CST, ADS, or similar) and RF measurement tools (VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, TDR). - Proven Track Record: Successful leadership of hardware or R&D engineering projects from concept to volume production. - Vendor Co-Development: Experience managing external vendors or component suppliers for complex custom electro-mechanical parts. - Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and influence multidisciplinary teams without direct authority. - Experience in designing hardware for superconducting circuits and cryogenic environments is a plus.
