SRAL - Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg - is a restoration atelier that carries out conservation treatments and restorations with a multidisciplinary team of 16 restorers across various disciplines: paintings, sculptures and polychrome objects, gold leather, modern art, murals, and historical interiors. Over nearly 40 years, we have built experience with an integrated approach to a wide range of projects, from individual paintings to extensive interiors. Concrete issues arise from practice, and SRAL has the ability to link these to theoretical knowledge and research, allowing us to develop, apply, and share innovative solutions with the field. Currently, SRAL employs 20 people and also accommodates researchers and international students.

As a Senior Restorer of Historical Interiors (HB), you will independently or collaboratively with the HB and/or Paintings team perform various tasks: from color historical research; analysis of complex situations in interiors regarding historical coherence, material degradation, and climate risks; advising; drafting treatment proposals and quotes; to execution on-site and documentation with photography and digital documentation. You are capable of executing a project fully, within the deadline and according to the quote and proposal. You have extensive experience with stratigraphic research, microscopic analysis, interpretation of paint cross-sections, and translating conclusions into concrete proposals for clients. The senior restorer HB is project responsible within SRAL and reports on the progress of projects during project meetings.
