The Senior Operator role involves managing key operational processes at Impala Terminals Rotterdam, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of products while coordinating with vessel representatives. You will support maintenance and safety initiatives and work closely with Shift Supervisors, CCR Operators, and other Operators to ensure seamless terminal operations. In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, you will take charge of managing the shift, upholding high performance and safety standards. Proficiency in both Control Room (CCR) tasks and outside operations is essential, providing flexibility and expertise across all terminal activities.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor the loading and unloading of sea-going vessels and barges, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate operational activities with vessel representatives, ensuring proper handling and storage of products.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, identify unsafe situations, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
• Support the maintenance team by identifying and reporting equipment issues and assisting with minor repairs.
• Manage shift logs and ensure smooth handover of duties during shift changes.
• Supervise on-site contractors, ensuring compliance with work permits and safety guidelines.
• Actively participate in safety rounds, identifying and addressing hazards or deviations.
