As a Senior Inventory and Product Costing Analyst, you play a crucial role in connecting Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance. Your primary responsibility will be to convert operational processes into precise financial transactions, inventory valuation, product costing, and management reporting. Initially, you will provide temporary support for product costing activities related to our German operations. In the long term, this position will evolve into a global role within Business Control, aiming to standardize inventory valuation and product costing processes across POLYVANTIS.

Responsibilities

• Support inventory accounting and product costing activities.
• Execute and monitor Material Ledger processes.
• Review production order settlements, work in progress (WIP), and manufacturing variances.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation in compliance with accounting standards.
• Translate operational manufacturing processes into financial transactions.
• Drive standardization of inventory valuation and product costing processes.
• Support SAP process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Develop process documentation and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and tax-related inventory valuation.
• Maintain and enhance inventory-related internal controls.
• Support audit activities and compliance requirements.
• Analyze inventory movements, variances, and valuation drivers.
• Assist with COGS and inventory reporting.
• Provide business insights to Finance and Operations.
• Support working capital and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Maintain periodic allocation cycles and assist in user acceptance testing for cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting, with a strong focus on Inventory Accounting and Product Costing.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory valuation principles and product costing methodologies.
• Proven experience in translating operational manufacturing processes into financial transactions.
• Strong SAP knowledge, preferably within FICO, Material Ledger, and Product Costing.
• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficiency in the Dutch language.
• Experience in international manufacturing environments.
