Join our Offshore & Shipbuilding team as a Senior Instrumentation Engineer, where you'll lead the technical aspects of FPSO engineering projects, ensuring the design and delivery of critical instrumentation systems. Contribute to safe and efficient offshore solutions while mentoring less experienced engineers.

As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer in Offshore & Shipbuilding, you will play a vital role in developing safe, sustainable, and efficient projects both onshore and offshore, from shipbuilding to floating platforms.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Technical Lead for assigned FPSO engineering projects, overseeing the design, specification, integration, and delivery of instrumentation systems, including Process Control Systems, Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS), Fire & Gas Systems, and Telecommunication Systems.
Utilize your technical expertise to create safe and high-quality solutions that align with project and discipline requirements independently.
Resolve complex technical issues effectively to ensure project and discipline deliverables are met.
Collaborate with peers across Regional Centers to facilitate knowledge sharing and serve as a consultant and mentor to junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and the application of best practices.
Work alongside the Discipline Manager, Discipline Leads, and engineering staff to drive continuous improvement in work quality and efficiency.
Stay updated on the latest industry developments to enhance your technical knowledge and capabilities, ensuring lessons learned are documented from the fleet, projects, and technology.
Potentially act as Discipline Lead for specific scopes of work and/or be designated as a Technical Expert (TE) and/or Engineering Method Authority.
Serve as the primary technical contact for instrumentation-related matters with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering.
At least 12 years of experience in offshore oil & gas instrumentation engineering.
Strong experience with FPSO systems or FLNG and marine instrumentation.
Proficiency in Smart Plant Instrumentation and AVEVA tools.
In-depth knowledge of hazardous area design and functional safety (IEC 61508, IEC 61511).
Fluent in communicative English.
