We are seeking an experienced Senior HV Secondary Engineer! Our client excels in the design, implementation, and management of high-voltage systems, focusing on innovation and navigating the complexities of the energy sector, including grid enhancement and sustainable energy strategies. Your role as a Senior Engineer within the project team will involve being the key designer of systems required to control, monitor, and protect all high-voltage components installed at substations. This secondary engineering work encompasses extensions, renovations, and new builds, ensuring your work remains exciting every day due to the variety of substations and rapid developments in the energy transition.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Translating functional designs and requirements into concrete designs and project plans.
• Designing secondary (auxiliary) systems such as protection, control, SCADA, and monitoring systems.
• Designing and verifying integrated solutions based on client specifications, technical standards and guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings, calculations, and execution documents.
• Supporting the Lead Engineer and Technical Manager throughout the project phases from basic design in the preparation phase to detailed execution design.
• Identifying and resolving design bottlenecks, reporting findings, and performing quality checks.

Vereisten

• A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a similar field.
• At least 7 years of experience designing complex high- and medium-voltage systems, focusing on availability, reliability, maintenance, and safety.
• Key competencies: a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, striving for the best results for both the project and yourself.
• Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a results-driven approach.
