Working closely with a diverse group of geotechnical and geological engineers in an international environment, you will be a passionate Geotechnical Earthquake Consultant. Based in Amersfoort or Delft, you will provide advice on maritime structures, hydraulic engineering, various infrastructures, airports, tunnels, dikes, land reclamation, and buildings worldwide.

The Role

As a Senior Geotechnical Earthquake Consultant, you will engage in projects ranging from high-profile multidisciplinary initiatives to smaller projects requiring seismic expertise. You will alternate between roles as a consultant, design leader, or reviewer, providing geotechnical seismic advice, supervising, and mentoring junior and mid-level colleagues.

You will work on challenging assignments within enthusiastic and diverse teams, contributing your specialist knowledge to complex engineering projects while collaborating with colleagues across global offices. Your experience will enable you to deliver smart, practical, and efficient solutions aligned with the latest practices, while you are encouraged to propose innovative and sustainable solutions, ensuring effective geotechnical risk management.

As part of the Maritime Structures Design & Engineering team within the Water & Maritime business line, you will focus on maritime, climate resilience, and water technology markets.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Geo-Engineering (Geological or Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Seismology) with relevant graduation projects or courses in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering or Engineering Seismology.
• 5-15 years of experience (mid-level or senior).
• Strong numerical skills (e.g., Plaxis) and an affinity for digital developments (e.g., scripting, automation, AI).
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills (Dutch is a plus).
• A flexible attitude and willingness to travel as needed.
• Alignment with our strategy of 'Enhancing Society Together'.
• Candidates must be residing in the Netherlands or willing to relocate.

• A solid foundation: A competitive base salary ranging from €4,500 to €6,500 with annual increases.
