The Role

As a Senior Financial Banking Services Officer, you will ensure timely and accurate processing of all payments and supporting documents for our clients. You will play a central role in global payments and collaborate closely with financial services accountants, legal services lawyers, and relationship managers. Maintaining strong relationships with key client contacts and leading external communications with banks will be essential.

You will report to the Manager Accounting and handle a variety of banking and administrative tasks while serving as a resource for colleagues in the Private Equity team.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with banks and client contacts, ensuring systems are updated and supporting various administrative activities.
• Prepare and/or review payment orders.
• Serve as the first point of contact for banking inquiries.
• Oversee relationships with financial institutions and banks.
• Facilitate the opening and closing of bank accounts in collaboration with the business.
• Ensure bank account access and authority are granted or retracted as needed.
• Act as system administrator for over 300 client bank accounts across multiple banks.
• Coordinate with other Vistra offices regarding bank account access for various banking activities.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff.
• Manage invoice and treasury activities, including transaction overviews.
• Monitor transactions on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Requirements

We seek a proactive and persuasive colleague focused on quality and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent command of English and preferably Dutch, both verbal and written.
• 3-5 years of payment processing experience in the banking industry, with global high-volume single instruction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Dutch legal requirements related to Transaction Monitoring within a Trust company, including the Dutch Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Prevention) Act and the Dutch Trust Offices (Supervision) Act.
• Understanding of the payments industry and the role of SWIFT in transactions.
• Experience in training and guiding junior staff.
• Strong coordinating and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Relevant Experience

3-5 years of experience in the banking industry, with global high-volume single instruction experience preferred.

Education and Professional Qualification

Bachelor's (HBO) education or proven equivalent experience and knowledge.
