The Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with partners and senior colleagues, engaging with national and international clients on projects focused on circularity, particularly in waste management and recycling. You will play a vital role in expanding our expertise in this sector and leading projects towards sustainable outcomes. Your responsibilities will include creative problem-solving, exploring innovative technologies and business models, and optimizing resource use.

The projects you will work on are primarily international, reflecting the increasing global demand for circularity expertise. Our clients range from industrial companies and private equity firms to technology providers and policymakers, all seeking solutions in waste management and recycling. At Roland Berger, we pride ourselves on our pragmatic approach, listening to our clients and delivering tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead modules in larger projects and manage smaller projects, typically overseeing three to five consultants.
• Coach and develop junior consultants within your project teams.
• Collaborate with industry experts to enhance project outcomes.
• Contribute to knowledge development by capturing insights from client engagements.
• Participate in office-wide initiatives that advance Roland Berger's expertise.

Requirements

• Academic university education (WO).
• 4 to 7 years of experience in strategy and/or management consulting or strategic roles in large companies or the public sector, with a focus on waste management and recycling.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured argumentation skills.
• Technical affinity and commercial insight.
• Precision in work and open-mindedness.
• Experience in managing and delegating tasks to junior team members.
• Proficient in financial modeling (Excel), presentation visualization (PowerPoint), and storytelling.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills in English.
