We are looking for a Senior Claims Manager for the EMEA region to establish a solid operational foundation for hyper-growth in a heavily regulated environment while steering our AI and digital automation strategy.

About the Role

We seek a dynamic regional operator and technical expert to lead our claims operations. This role is not traditional claims management; you will be a leader of leaders across the UK, EU, and broader EMEA markets. You will embed deeply into daily claims operations, ensuring strict SLA compliance, streamlining partner onboarding, and maintaining a rigorous grip on performance metrics and loss ratios.

Key Responsibilities

• Claims Leadership & Hybrid Strategy: Hire, develop, and oversee a high-performing claims organization in a hybrid working environment, managing daily assignments and escalations.
• Continuous Improvement Champion: Identify opportunities to enhance customer and financial outcomes, owning and project managing improvements.
• Technical Authority: Ensure claims are paid within authority limits, lead audits, and build relationships with insurers.
• Digital Claims Transformation: Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to drive AI and automation in our claims platform.
• Insurance Portfolio & Loss Ratio Management: Monitor EMEA insurance portfolio performance and implement data-driven strategies to align claims outcomes with target loss ratios.
• Underwriter Referral Oversight: Ensure adherence to delegated authority limits across regional lines.
• Launch Readiness & Partner Onboarding: Lead operational sign-off for new EMEA partner implementations and ensure compliance.
• Change Agent: Drive regional operational evolution by partnering with QA, Training, and Insurance teams.
• EMEA Governance & Compliance: Maintain compliant frameworks across all regional regulatory jurisdictions.

Skills & Experience

• 8+ Years of Claims Leadership: Proven experience in claims leadership within a high-growth Insurtech or Insurance environment.
• Line Of Business Expertise: Over 10 years handling Travel, A&H, Marine, or Motor claims.
• Operational Expertise: Proficient in Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Training.
• Multi-Jurisdictional Expertise: Familiarity with European and UK insurance regulatory environments.
• Scale & Automation Track Record: Experience in driving workflow automation and improving operational processes.
• TPA & Vendor Governance: Managing BPO/TPA partner relationships to strict SLAs.
• Performance-Driven Track Record: Success in meeting KPIs related to Unit Economics and Loss Ratios.
