Join Impala Terminals Group as a Senior Buyer, where you'll support procurement activities across various business functions. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while ensuring timely supply and compliance with procurement policies.
Impala Terminals Group (ITG) facilitates global commodity trade by providing reliable access to international markets through its network of 30 strategically located assets in 20 countries. ITG operates in two global businesses: Liquid and Dry Bulk storage, as a joint venture between Trafigura and IFM Investors.
The Role
As a Senior Buyer, reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting various business functions in procurement activities. Your role will involve managing procure-to-pay activities, including tendering processes, supplier performance reviews, and tracking procurement key performance indicators. You will work closely with Accounts Payable, Treasury, Operations, and Maintenance teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely supply of goods and services, including replenishment activities.
- Demonstrate value for money in supplier spending.
- Apply Impala’s Procurement processes, ensuring compliance with controls and approvals.
- Lead end-to-end tendering processes for CAPEX and OPEX, aligning technical requirements.
- Conduct vendor market research and develop strategies for meaningful tenders.
- Contribute to the development of the procurement plan and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage contracts and supervise procurement key performance indicators.
Requirements
- English proficiency at B2-C1 level.
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in Oil & Gas.
- Strong negotiation and project management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to analyze high volumes of data and manage commercial relationships.
Nice to Have
- Desirable experience in Oil & Gas sector.
- Knowledge of legal matters related to procurement.
