In the role of Senior Advisor Rail Traffic Technology, you will actively engage with rail traffic technology, train security, and ERTMS. You will collaborate closely with other disciplines on integrated projects in Rail Infrastructure. By creating effective rail traffic designs, you will work on innovative solutions for complex challenges.

The Role

You will be involved in projects such as the doubling of the Schiedam-Rotterdam railway, which will increase capacity from 11 to 14 trains per hour in each direction. This entails adjusting the rail yards in Schiedam and Rotterdam with new tracks, switches, and signals, ensuring seamless coordination between rail traffic technology, train security, track construction, and overhead lines.

Responsibilities

• Actively work on rail traffic technology, train security, and ERTMS.
• Collaborate with various disciplines on integrated Rail Infrastructure projects.
• Develop effective rail traffic designs to address complex issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing complex FIS and/or RVTOs.
• Ability to independently assess a FIS and/or RVTO.
• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to taking responsibility within projects.
• Experience mentoring junior and mid-level colleagues.
• Completed HBO or university degree.
• Good understanding of intersections with other railway disciplines.
• Proficiency in Dutch.
• KKT-1 certificate is a plus.
• Experience as a Lead Engineer is a plus.
