Security Specialist (Microsoft) at NUNC Capital

As a Security Specialist (Microsoft), you will be responsible for the security of NUNC Capital and our operating companies (OpCo's). You will build a secure, scalable, and future-proof IT environment and have the freedom to determine what is needed for that.

De Rol

NUNC Capital is growing, and so is our IT and security environment. From a central IT organization, we support NUNC and various OpCo’s: about 10 internationally distributed companies across 6 locations, with a total of approximately 70 workplaces. Each organization has its own technology and needs.

As the technical owner of security, you are responsible for a secure, scalable, and future-proof environment. You work closely with the IT Lead, Functional Application Manager, and external IT and security partners. Together with the IT Lead, you determine the direction; you translate this into concrete technical solutions and continuously weigh what you do yourself, organize internally, or outsource. Even when you use external expertise, you maintain technical control and responsibility.

Verantwoordelijkheden

Ownership and continuous development of our MS security stack and strategy.
Advising on and implementing security controls for applications and infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft & Windows.
Designing, implementing, and optimizing security strategies.
Conducting and supporting information security and risk analyses, including assessments of third parties regarding security and data privacy.
Identifying security gaps, translating risks into concrete technical solutions, and assisting in resolving them.
Evaluating and improving the effectiveness of technical and organizational security measures.
Advising teams on secure design principles and application integrity best practices within modern security architectures.
Running security and IT projects end-to-end, from scoping to implementation, with cost efficiency as a starting point.
Acting as a credible, technically knowledgeable partner for senior developers and other MSPs, translating complex technical input into clear next steps.
Leading the continuous improvement process of ISO 27001 and overseeing the rollout of ABRO per project, with security expertise currently lacking at OpCo level.
Establishing good data governance and documentation labeling (e.g., via MS Purview), including the security dimension.
Contributing to innovation and new security propositions, including our approach to AI, focusing on a better user experience.

Wie jij bent

You are an experienced security specialist with a strong sense of responsibility. You want to understand how an environment actually works and take responsibility for the choices you make. You are analytically strong and can quickly distill complex technical issues to their essence. You investigate what is actually going on before choosing a solution. You do not automatically let suppliers, existing practices, or available tools guide you, but form your own judgment about what NUNC Capital needs.

You are critical and independent but also pragmatic. You understand that good security does not mean doing everything yourself. You can assess well when to dive into the technology yourself and when external expertise is wiser. Then, you know how to guide that expertise content-wise and critically evaluate the results.

You feel comfortable in an environment where not everything has been figured out yet. You take initiative, work structured, and gain energy from building and improving a security environment. You find it interesting to work at the intersection of technology, security, and defense. You do not need to be a defense expert, but you do have an affinity for the technology and the field in which NUNC Capital operates.

Must-haves

In-depth, practical knowledge of Microsoft security.
Experience with Microsoft security tools, such as Defender, Entra ID, Intune, Sentinel, and/or Purview.
Experience in designing, implementing, and improving security controls.
Experience with security architecture and technical security issues.
The ability to technically analyze security risks and translate them into concrete solutions.
Experience with complex stakeholder management.
Fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice-to-haves

Experience with ISO 27001.
You can read and understand code and are able to test configurations independently.
Experience with Linux and/or macOS environments.
Experience with frameworks such as ABRO.
Affinity with AI and the security issues associated with it.
Experience within defense, aerospace, security, high-tech, or a similar environment.

A gross monthly salary of €5,000 to €6,500 (based on 40 hours).
