The Role
As a Restoration Laborer, you will be instrumental in preparing work sites and assisting technicians in various tasks. This position offers a clear career path, starting from a laborer to an IICRC-certified Technician and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Prepare rooms and staging areas; set up equipment for projects.
- Assist technicians with demolition, debris removal, and material handling.
- Load, unload, and transport equipment between job sites.
- Perform end-of-day cleanup to maintain a clean work environment.
- Communicate effectively with your crew and management to ensure job efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid BC Driver's License.
- Physically fit: able to lift 50 lbs regularly (up to 100 lbs with assistance), climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces and attics.
- Comfortable working with cleaning agents.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Able to pass a background check (subject to applicable law).
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of $19.00–$22.00/hour, based on experience.
- Clear career advancement path: Labourer → IICRC-certified Technician ($22–$27/hr) → Lead Technician, with paid certification training.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x after 8 hours, 2x after 12 hours (BC Employment Standards).
- Extended health and dental benefits, plus paid vacation.
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Multilingual team — proficiency in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese is an asset.
