About the Role
The quant research & trading internship is an intensive 10-week program designed to enhance your quantitative and programming skills while providing a glimpse into the life of a full-time quant trader at Jump. Interns will engage in roles such as quantitative researcher, algorithmic trader, and software developer, receiving training across various areas including Machine Learning, trading mechanics, C++, statistics, and our research process for signal generation.
Interns will first collaborate with peers to develop predictive models and automated trading strategies for live trading. Following this, you will rotate through different trading teams, working on projects under the mentorship of experienced quant researchers, traders, and developers. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for the brightest analytical minds from top undergraduate and graduate programs. Ideal candidates possess a strong desire to learn, an entrepreneurial spirit, and solid skills in programming and/or quantitative analysis (statistics, data mining, mathematics, machine learning, etc.). No prior finance or trading knowledge is required, as we provide necessary training. Reliable availability is essential.
While we value training in Computer Science and Mathematics, we also welcome candidates with exceptional achievements in any technical discipline. Recent hires have come from diverse fields such as Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Neuroscience, Materials Science, Operations Research, Economics, Econometrics, and more.
