In this role, you will navigate complex challenges such as how to organize future hospital care, determine service delivery locations, maintain accessibility for staff and patients, and ensure today's investments align with tomorrow's healthcare needs. You will provide coherence, direction, and calm amidst uncertainty, understanding that adaptability is crucial in this context. As a program manager, you will focus on achieving widely supported decisions at the hospital level and proactively drive milestone realization.

The Role

You will lead the ongoing New Hospital program, overseeing development tasks for the Nieuwegein and Utrecht locations starting in 2035, while a healthcare building is being developed in Woerden for 2029. Your responsibility includes ensuring logical coherence among these three locations regarding care offerings and associated facilities, all from a development perspective rather than facility management.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the New Hospital program, including leading project managers, program lines, and external advisors for all real estate developments.
• Ensure coherence among all strategic real estate tasks for our locations in Nieuwegein, Utrecht, and Woerden.
• Translate complex governance considerations into clear scenarios, supported decision-making, and concrete next steps.
• Develop, assess, and consolidate scenarios, business cases, and investment proposals that align with our strategic care vision.
• Monitor progress, risks, quality, and program budgets.
• Manage internal stakeholders, particularly collaborating closely with Finance, HR, Communications, Construction & Housing, and various advisory bodies.
• Manage external stakeholders, following up on advice from resident councils and maintaining connections with municipalities, regional care partners, and insurers to incorporate diverse perspectives into decision-making.
• Prepare decision-making for the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board.

What We Offer

• A salary of up to €9,939 gross per month (FWG scale 75 Hospital Collective Agreement) for a 36-hour work week, depending on your education and work experience.

Your Talents

You are an experienced program manager in real estate, comfortable in a complex governance (hospital) environment and the real estate sector. You thrive on (innovative) strategic development tasks in our field, combining strategic insight with governance and organizational sensitivity. You can build bridges between the world of real estate and healthcare transformation, working under the belief that buildings are a means to an end, not the goal itself. Your aim is to find the right facilities that align with our future care concept.

Additionally, you possess:

• A university-level education.
• Extensive experience with complex strategic programs, transformation tasks, or organizational change, preferably in the healthcare sector/hospitals.
• The ability and enjoyment of working within continuously changing contexts and complex internal and external stakeholder dynamics.
• The quality to be a connecting link between the need to consider governance contexts and the necessity of effectively managing the New Hospital program.
• Persuasiveness, governance and organizational sensitivity, and the ability to reconcile diverse interests, with experience in governance decision-making and stakeholder management at senior management level.
• Knowledge and experience with real estate, housing, organizational, and/or business issues.
• Experience with business cases and real estate investment issues, based on strong analytical skills and financial insight.
