Project Manager — Insurance Platform Rollout Interim / Freelance | Hybrid (Amsterdam / Randstad) | 6-month contract (potential to extend) Our client is rolling out a new set of non-life insurance products to consumers in the Dutch market, delivered on a modern insurance technology platform. This is a high-visibility programme with multiple parties involved - the broker or bank selling the products, the insurers underwriting the risk, third-party claims administrators, and the platform provider itself. The Role

You will lead a small delivery team and manage the programme from start to finish: implementing the platform, ensuring data readiness, conducting testing, and launching the products on schedule while navigating a complex stakeholder landscape. You will report directly to C-level stakeholders on both the technology and client sides. This is the second phase of the programme, with another release anticipated around the six-month mark and a strong potential for extension.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the platform rollout, managing all dependencies to launch.
• Oversee change management for the implementation of the insurance technology platform.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, ensuring tests are prepared and the right personnel are available.
• Manage go-live planning, aligning technology readiness, website launch, and communications for a unified launch date.
• Conduct status reporting and manage risks and issues, escalating and resolving them proactively.
• Liaise with a diverse set of external parties, including brokers or banks, insurers, third-party claims administrators, and the platform provider, keeping them aligned.
• Report programme progress to senior executives, including C-level stakeholders on both sides.

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall experience, including at least one major insurance programme.
• A consulting or implementation background, ideally from a Big Four or comparable consultancy.
• Hands-on experience with non-life insurance (e.g., home, travel, car) on either the business or technology side.
• Proven experience in programme and project management delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and align C-level stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Dutch.
• EU work authorization.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to insurance technology platform delivery; deep technical expertise is not required.
• Experience within Dutch banks or insurers that have an insurance-product arm.
