Check out our public roadmap to see what's next! ## Mission of this role Equipment is Rentman's most intricate and longest-standing product area, involving multi-warehouse inventory, rental cycle rollovers, sub-rentals, and real-time pressure, with minimal UX support to date. You will enter a nascent design system and culture, building both from the ground up while maintaining high design standards within a fast-paced release environment alongside a proactive PM. ## Responsibilities - Write design briefs and create designs in Figma, utilizing the design system and identifying gaps for the DS team. - Collaborate with the PM and tech owner to define problems and scope, including conducting discovery interviews. - Conduct user tests and interviews to validate design directions before handoff. - Design for both novice and experienced users, making informed design decisions. - Support development during the build phase and ensure design intent is preserved. - Participate in UX critiques and contribute to the team's collective practices. ## Requirements - 5+ years of experience designing complex B2B or SaaS products. - Proven ownership of problems from start to finish, beyond just executing scoped work. - Experience running your own discovery and validation processes, with at least one significant outcome. - Ability to design for both novice and expert users. - Proficient in Figma and design systems, with strong stakeholder management skills. ## Nice to Have - Experience in logistics, planning, inventory, or ERP-like products. - Familiarity with product analytics and instrumentation. - Experience working within a product trio model or contributing to a design system. ## What you’ll get - Competitive salary based on experience, plus an 8% holiday allowance. - A performance-based bonus up to a full 13th month's salary. - 25 vacation days to recharge. - An additional day of PTO for each year at Rentman, from your second anniversary up to five years. - A 4-week paid sabbatical after 5 years for personal adventures. - Flexible work-from-home policy and the option to work from anywhere for 4 weeks a year. - Pension plan through BrightPensioen. - Annual training budget for skill development. - Access to OpenUp for mental well-being and personal growth. - Choice of a new Windows, Linux, or Mac device. - Engage with the team through activities like football, squash, and padel, plus a discounted Urban Sports membership. - An OV Business card for those living more than 10km from the office. - Join an ambitious, inclusive, and diverse international team. - Enjoy a vibrant workplace with free lunches, office perks (PS5, ping pong, D&D), legendary karaoke nights, and regular team activities. - Work in an amazing office located in the heart of Utrecht at historic Drift 17. ## Our process Our recruitment process includes: - Online Introduction Call with the recruiter about the job & Rentman (30 mins). - Online Past Experience & Culture Interview with the team (60 mins). - Onsite assignment and final discussion with the team (90 mins).
