As a Process Engineer in our FluoroElastomers unit, you will play a crucial role in daily operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production. Your work will focus on enhancing quality, uptime, and cost-effectiveness while collaborating with operators, maintenance, engineering, and site leadership.

The Role

In this position, you will monitor process performance, troubleshoot abnormalities, and lead root-cause analysis. You will also support Process Safety Management activities and implement improvements in safety, quality, capacity, and cost. Your responsibilities will include providing process input for capital projects, designing and running plant trials, and updating technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process performance and troubleshoot abnormalities.
• Lead or support Process Safety Management activities including PHA, MOC, PSSR, and Mechanical Integrity.
• Identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, capacity, and cost.
• Provide process input to capital projects from front-end engineering through commissioning.
• Design and run plant trials, improve operating procedures, and update technical documentation.
• Support emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and environmental performance initiatives.

Requirements

• MSc in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing technology, or reliability.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing plant as a process engineer or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex process problems.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus (willingness to learn is sufficient).
• Hands-on mindset and ability to work effectively with operators, maintenance, and engineers.

Nice to Have

• Experience in elastomers, monomers, reliability, or data analytics.
• Experience running plant trials and supporting capital projects.
• Working knowledge of DCS batch logic systems.
• Experience with polymerization technologies.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
