Job Overview: In the role of Principal Statistical Programmer, you will deliver advanced technical expertise to create process methodologies that address both internal and external client requirements across intricate projects and studies. This includes planning and coordinating integrated programming solutions that cover the entire range of statistical programming needs.

Responsibilities

• Execute, plan, coordinate, and implement the following for complex studies:
  • Programming, testing, and documenting statistical programs for generating statistical tables, figures, and listings.
  • Programming analysis datasets (derived datasets) and transfer files for internal and external clients.
  • Conducting programming quality control checks for source data and periodically reporting data issues.
• Interpret project-level requirements and develop appropriate programming specifications for complex studies.
• Provide advanced technical expertise to both internal and external clients, independently delivering project solutions to statistical programming teams.
• Assume project responsibilities as a technical team lead for individual complex studies or groups of studies.
• Communicate directly with internal and client statisticians and clinical team members to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and project timelines.
• Estimate programming scope, manage resource assignments, communicate project status, and negotiate project timelines for deliverables.
• Utilize and promote established standards, SOPs, and best practices.
• Offer training and mentoring to statistical programming team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of statistical programming experience in the Life Sciences industry.
• Strong efficacy experience.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics, programming, and/or the clinical drug development process.
• Proficient in computing applications such as Base SAS, SAS Graph, and SAS Macro.
• Advanced understanding of relevant data standards (e.g., CDISC/ADaM/SDTM).
