In this postdoc position, you will conduct applied research to address a major knowledge gap on how to scale Nature Based Solutions in an equitable and just way. You will develop research activities in our FairNature project, funded by Biodiversa+. You will work across two sections at IVM: Environmental Policy Analysis and Environmental Economics. You will co-lead our action case on farmyard transitions in the Netherlands.

Verantwoordelijkheden

• Conduct an online survey with a choice experiment to assess values for nature-based solutions.
• Conduct interviews with key stakeholders and experts to evaluate justice trade-offs and identify governance structures.
• Contribute to project management and stakeholder engagement.
• Dedicate 10% of your time to teaching activities.

Vereisten

• PhD degree in environmental social science, environmental economics, or a closely related field (or nearing completion).
• Experience with qualitative approaches for interviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Advanced quantitative skills for survey research.
• Strong interest in environmental justice theories and practices.
• Proficiency in Dutch is a strong advantage.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement is beneficial.
