In this remote contractor position, you will serve as the Political Science Quality Assurance Lead, responsible for maintaining quality and consistency across political science AI training projects. Your role will involve reviewing AI-generated political science content and evaluating the performance of trainers and QA personnel against project guidelines. You will provide detailed written feedback, ensuring that all contributors adhere to established quality standards. Key areas of assessment include conceptual accuracy, institutional knowledge, political theory accuracy, and clarity of content. You will also identify recurring quality issues, communicate updates to trainers and QAs, assist with onboarding, and maintain essential documentation. This position requires strong expertise in political science, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to manage quality workflows in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality by spot-checking political science items and identifying quality issues.
• Evaluate AI-generated political science explanations and analyses for accuracy and balance.
• Communicate updates to trainers and QAs regarding guidelines and quality expectations via Discord.
• Respond promptly to trainer/QA inquiries, particularly on political topics.
• Manage the activation of inactive contributors and encourage their participation.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including style guides and FAQs.
• Conduct onboarding and training sessions for new trainers and QAs.
• Ensure consistent application of review guidelines among all trainers and QAs.
• Identify and flag misleading or unsupported claims in content.
• Propose improvements for QA processes in political science AI training projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Political Science or a related field.
• Strong English language skills for effective communication and feedback.
• 3+ years of experience in political science research, teaching, or related fields.
• In-depth understanding of political institutions, comparative politics, and related areas.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and identify potential issues.
• Familiarity with topics such as democracy, political economy, and conflict studies is preferred.
• Experience leading remote teams of analysts or researchers is strongly preferred.
• Proficient with tools like Discord, Google Sheets, and project management systems.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, with experience in AI training or data annotation being a plus.
