As an occupational health nurse, you will have significant responsibility and will perform your duties independently. Your tasks will include:

• Conducting absence consultations independently and assessing the capacity of employees.
• Identifying and discussing medical and psychosocial barriers that may affect recovery.
• Advising employees and employers on employability and appropriate reintegration steps within applicable laws and regulations.
• Actively monitoring the absence process and timely involving the company doctor in medically complex situations.
• Carefully documenting findings, advice, and agreements in the file.

In practice, as an occupational health nurse, you play a crucial role in guiding employees during the first two years of absenteeism. You assist employees from our client's relationships within the framework of the Improvement of Occupational Health Act and help them progress in the reintegration process.

You will work independently within our client's team and operate under the delegation of the company doctors. Drawing on your medical expertise, you will assess what an employee can handle and what steps are necessary to advance reintegration.

You will also consider psychosocial factors, sustainable employability, and the interests of both the employee and employer. This makes you an important link between both parties, contributing to a careful and goal-oriented absence process. You will work in a hybrid model from Maastricht.
