The Role

As a Mid-Level Consultant, you will play a key role in implementing various high-level consultancy projects related to marinas and waterfronts. Collaborating closely with our team and other experts, you will leverage your technical background and excellent soft skills to present ideas both internally and externally. Responsibilities include coordinating project components, ensuring timely completion of tasks, assisting project managers, and occasionally liaising with clients.

You will help grow our marina and waterfronts business in the Netherlands and globally, building and expanding your network in the sector. Your contributions will support our mission to develop sustainable marinas and waterfronts, with a focus on nature-based planning and design.

Examples of Recent Projects

• Masterplanning a greenfield superyacht marina in the Black Sea or Middle East
• Designing a high-end marina and waterfront along the south coast of Spain
• Developing a nature-based marina in Southeast Asia
• Consulting on recreational navigation networks in the Netherlands
• Conceptual design of marina layouts in South America, Europe, and the APAC region
• Conducting yachting market assessments in the Middle East

Our clients and projects are located worldwide, operating in both private and (semi)governmental sectors. You should be willing to travel abroad for projects as required by clients.

As a new Mid-Level Consultant, you will join the Port Consultancy team, consisting of 25 professionals in the port/maritime consultancy field. Requirements

You are passionate about sailing, yachts, and marinas, and their interaction with surrounding areas. You possess strong communication and persuasion skills in both English and preferably Dutch, and enjoy presenting ideas to clients and colleagues. A curiosity about different cultures and a willingness to learn from diverse experiences is essential.

• MSc in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Architecture, or Urban Planning
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the marina sector
• Aspiration for a career in Marinas and Waterfronts Consultancy, with a desire to enhance skills and network
• Commercial drive and ability to identify opportunities for business expansion
• Flexible work ethos and proactive attitude towards work coordination
