The Role

As a Medior Specialist Mechanical Engineering, you will work on interesting challenges in the field of mechanical engineering. You give advice and create and test designs of building-related installations. You ensure an integrated installation design that fully matches the ambitions of the client.

You will collaborate with colleagues in multidisciplinary teams, contributing your expertise to integrated projects that often require customized solutions. You will also manage one or more junior installation technicians in your projects.

Responsibilities

• Identify the scope and purpose of a design.
• Model single-sided diagrams of the mechanical installation and coordinate them with other disciplines for initial space reservations.
• Provide project documentation ensuring the quality of information flow required by contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Write technical specifications and reports.
• Review contractor prequalifications and create summary evaluations for tender assessments.
• Assist the Project Manager with preparing/assessing project costs and risk assessments.
• Provide input for large integrated tenders and write quotations.

Additionally, you will contribute to optimizing our business processes and to safeguarding and sharing knowledge about your field within our MEP Community.

What You Bring

You are a committed Engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset, identifying market developments and opportunities while having an eye for the customer. As a team player, you prefer working in multidisciplinary teams. You possess professional knowledge in the field of installations in buildings and are eager to contribute to expanding installation knowledge within Haskoning.

In Addition, You Also Have

• A completed academic degree in mechanical engineering, building services, energy technology, or HIT-W.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge and experience with integrated projects (Revit & BIM).
• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.

Interest in digitization and innovative ideas is a plus, as is the willingness to embrace new software or working methods in your projects.
